American Magician: The Last Encore

Silas abandoned his life as a masked magic champion after an assassin’s bullet killed his mentor. Taking work as a janitor at Lyra’s struggling theater, he stays close to the mentor’s daughter and her little girl, protecting them while pretending to be ordinary. His concealed skills and history make him far more than the quiet worker he appears to be. Lyra’s vicious ex, her greedy uncle, and a succession of elite magicians threaten the theater and pressure her into dangerous magical contests. Each challenge brings greater risk, while Silas must decide how long he can remain hidden. As his abilities begin to surface, suspicion grows around the unassuming janitor. Could he be the vanished King of Magic, and can he defend Lyra without exposing the identity he sacrificed everything to bury?
