Five Winters With Her, Five Fridge Magnets for Me

Maya has spent five winters decorating a condo for a future that was never hers. When she discovers her fiancé Ryan devoted those same winters to his first love Hannah in Japan - bringing Maya only fridge magnets while Hannah received custom jewelry - Maya cancels everything and leaves. She relocates to a new city, determined to rebuild without him. Ryan's apologies arrive too late, along with a list of forty-seven broken promises. Maya ignores them all. He signs the dissolution agreement and returns her belongings, adding one final magnet he chose himself. Maya keeps it, buys her favorite flowers, and closes her eyes. She is no longer waiting.
