Wade appears to be a cleaner, but his quiet working life conceals a powerful past as founder of Blackshield Group. His main reason for staying out of sight is Debbie, his daughter, whose wellbeing matters more to him than status or control. That arrangement is shattered when Mark, heir to the Leonard family, bullies Debbie, injects her with drugs, and nearly drowns her. Faced with an attack on his child, Wade abandons restraint and confronts the forces threatening his family. With neurologist Irene helping him work to save Debbie, he begins settling old scores while moving back toward the company he founded.
