Paper Marriage

After putting aside her career and leaving her former life behind, a woman follows her brigadier general husband to a military base. Instead of being recognized as his wife, she finds herself without legal resident status there. The dependent position meant for her has been given to the girl they sponsored, and even the lock to her home is changed for that girl. With her marriage and place in his life called into question, she leaves during the night and begins again in a new city. Seven years later, the two meet at a military arts festival. He is confronted with the consequences of what happened and shows regret, while she is no longer facing the future alone. Standing beside another man, she must decide whether the past still has any claim on her—or whether her new direction matters more.
