The Summer My Heart Stopped

During her senior year, Isabel is facing a serious heart condition while keeping her feelings for her closest friend, Alex Brooks, to herself. She intends to tell him after graduation, but a painful misunderstanding destroys their bond. Alex begins treating Isabel as an enemy and allows other students to torment her, leaving their shared past buried beneath resentment. In September 2015, Alex and his friends accuse Isabel of killing his father, then humiliate her by pouring coffee over her head. His cruel words suggest a wound deeper than anger. Ten years later, Alex finds a set of short videos Isabel recorded for him. As the vlogs revisit their history, they expose a truth he never understood and force him to confront what happened between them.
