To Heal or to Burn

On the day Jennifer is meant to marry, her life ends at the hands of the man she once saved. He casts her from a thousand-meter magic tower because she used her healing gift on a blind duke whose love was pledged to another woman. Death, however, returns Jennifer to an earlier point in her story. Now she will not offer the duke the same aid, despite pressure from the kingdom’s most influential families, who want access to her healing blood. Before the royal court, Jennifer proposes a dangerous contest: as the duke’s beloved works to restore his sight, Jennifer will try to bring back a man described as having a dead soul. The terms are severe - ten days, a sacred blood pact, and a final outcome in which only one woman can leave the capital alive. Her choice forces the court to weigh loyalty, healing, and the cost of waiting too long.
